Grow your MailChimp List by Sharing on Social Media

Here I will be showing you the basics of using MailChimp to grow your Business with Email marketing and engagement. MailChimp is an easy and user-friendly email service that offers anything you could want to do with email from sending emails, to designing email templates and even seeing analytics of how your emails are performing. Best part is that MailChimp offers a free account for up to 2,000 subscribers. So if you have thought about email marketing and engagement in the past, LinkPlug and MailChimp are a great 1-2-Punch!

To get started you need to set up a MailChimp account and Create a Campaign and List. A Campaign is simply MailChimp’s vocabulary for “emails” and a List is a group of people you will send your Campaign/Emails to. Lets setup a quick list and create a campaign on MailChimp and then I can show you how LinkPlug can grow your email list automatically with a Push of a button!

First lets start a List. These Lists are simply a group of people that will be getting similar or the same emails. Lists are typically used when you have multiple businesses or people to that you want to send different emails to as different entities. For example let's say I decide to use Mailchimp for business and personal use. I could create a List for my business called "LinkPlug Demo" and a List called "Close Friends" which I will use for holiday and special event emails.

Now that we have a List let’s create a Campaign/Email to send to people on our LinkPlug Demo List. First fill out the technical details of your first Campaign that will be unique for each Campaign sent out. Next will be the meat and potatoes, the actual email itself. Here you can design the layout and content of the email that your subscribers will receive. MailChimp has a very easy and user friendly designer tool so make sure to set some time aside for creating your email. Once the email is looking awesome you can proceed to sending it out to your List of Subscribers! Now maybe wondering I have a great resource for making, managing and sending emails but how do I collect emails?

Well Thats where LinkPlug steps in using your Plugs Email Subscribe feature. Simply go to “Profile Settings” and Click the “Connect Email List” in the Email List Management Section. Then just sign into your MailChimp and select which List will be associated with that specific LinkPlug Profile. That’s it! Now everytime someone signs-up on your Plugs for that Profile the email will be automatically placed into your specified MailChimp List!
